ReviewDock allows you to seamlessly import reviews from your Etsy shop and display them on your Shopify store. With automatic synchronization, flexible display options, and powerful linking features, you can leverage your Etsy reputation to boost sales on Shopify.
Installation
Install ReviewDock from the Shopify App Store or App landing page with just one click. No technical knowledge required.
- Visit the Shopify App Store or App landing page
- Search for "ReviewDock" if you are in the Shopify App Store
- Click "Install" button
- Follow the installation prompts
- You're ready to start importing reviews!

- Active Shopify store or development store
- Etsy shop with existing reviews
- Valid Etsy shop URL
Import Your Etsy Reviews
Start by importing reviews from your Etsy shop. This is the foundation of displaying social proof on your Shopify store.
Supported Etsy Shop URL Formats
ReviewDock accepts the following Etsy shop URL formats:

Import Process
- Navigate to the ReviewDock app in your Shopify admin
- Enter your Etsy shop URL in the input field
- Click the "Import" button
- Wait for the import to complete (approximately 5 minutes for first import)
Automatic Synchronization
After the initial import, ReviewDock automatically checks for new reviews every 24 hours and syncs them to your Shopify store. This ensures your review display is always up-to-date without manual intervention.
Manage Your Reviews
Control which reviews appear on your store and organize them effectively using the Reviews management page.
Review Visibility Control
Navigate to the Reviews page to:
- Hide specific reviews from displaying on your store
- Show previously hidden reviews
- Bulk manage review visibility

- Rating Filter: Show reviews by star rating (1-5 stars)
- Status Filter: Display only visible or hidden reviews
Link Etsy Listings to Shopify Products
Connect your Etsy listings to corresponding Shopify products so reviews appear on the correct product pages.
Manual Linking
From the app homepage listing section:
- Find the Etsy listing you want to link
- Click the "Link Product" button
- Select one or more Shopify products to associate
- Save the association
Auto Link Feature
For stores with many listings, manual linking can be time-consuming. Our Auto Link feature provides intelligent matching suggestions:

- Click the "Auto Link" button
- The system analyzes title similarity between Etsy listings and Shopify products
- Review the suggested matches
- Approve matches individually or in bulk
- Confirm the associations
Review and Confirm
Always review Auto Link suggestions before confirming:
- Check that products are correctly matched
- Uncheck any incorrect suggestions
- Use "Confirm All" for bulk approval or confirm individually
Add Review Blocks to Your Store
Display your Etsy reviews using customizable blocks that can be added to any page of your Shopify store.

Adding Blocks
- Go to the Block Preview section in the app

Enabling the Global Popup
- Click "Enable global review popup" in the app
- This opens the Shopify theme editor
- Navigate to the App Embeds section
- Find "ReviewDock Global Popup" and enable it
- Save your theme changes

Troubleshooting
Reviews Not Importing Completely
If you have 120 reviews but only 100 were imported, this may be related to server issues. Try deleting the Etsy shop and reimporting. Also note that the automatic import feature has a limit of 140 reviews.
What should I do if the app gets stuck during import after clicking the import button?
If the app gets stuck during import after clicking the import button, try refreshing the page and restarting the import. If the issue persists after 5 minutes, contact support to get help.
The reviews are not displaying after inserting the blocks to the page
If your app blocks are not displaying, check the Reviews Management page to verify if ratings are showing for each review. If no ratings are visible, this indicates data loss during import which prevents reviews from displaying properly. In this case, please delete the Etsy shop and reimport it to restore the complete review data.
If daily auto sync is not working, how can I manually sync the new reviews?
You can manually sync the new reviews by clicking the "Show Auto Sync" button in the shop card on app page, then click the "Manual Sync" button. This will force a sync of the newest reviews from your Etsy shop.
